One person was seriously injured when a kiosk near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., caught fire early Thursday, officials said.
DC Fire and EMS responded to the concessions kiosk at Lincoln Memorial Circle NW at around 7 a.m., and found one adult male with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A U.S. Park Police helicopter flew the victim to an area trauma center, fire officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and continued to spray propane tanks, in order to cool them down, and soak the kiosk. The fire department also called a hazmat unit to the scene.
