Israels former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to return to the office for a third time after winning the countrys fifth election in four years. Prime Minister Yair Lapid conceded Thursday, and will remain in office while coalition talks are completed. “I wish Netanyahu success for the sake of the people of Israel and the State of Israel,” he tweeted Thursday. Netanyahu, who is currently facing corruption charges he denies, was ousted last year by a broad coalition of parties, including for the first time an independent Arab party. The 73-year-old returned to power backed by a number of rightwing parties that gained seats in the Knesset, in a blow to the Israeli left. Netanyahu previously served twice in the office, for a total of 15 years, making him Israels longest-serving prime minister.
