France: Protesters Block Louvre Museum Entrance

Protesters took to the streets of Paris again on Monday, following two failed no-confidence votes against the government of French President Emmanuel Macron over deeply unpopular pension reforms failed in parliament.
A video shared by Twitter user @sudeducation95 shows protesters blocking the entrance to the Louvre museum.
The pension reform, which would raise the age of retirement from 62 to 64 for most workers, sparked industrial actions and strikes among energy workers, trash collectors, and other sectors, along with widespread popular protests.
Earlier this month, the government used constitutional Article 49.3 to force the legislation through the National Assembly without a vote, prompting Mondays motions of no confidence.
The legislation faces a final review by the countrys Constitutional Council before it is implemented, and opposition lawmakers plan to appeal to the body to reject it, in whole or in part.
