The California Highway Patrol released video and photos from the night of a May 28 car crash involving Paul Pelosi, House Speaker Nancy Pelosis husband, in Napa, Calif.Pelosi, 82, pleaded guilty to a DUI charge on Tuesday, and will have to serve three years of probation, with an ignition lock on his car for one year. He will also have to complete a drunk-driving course.Pelosi, driving a 2021 Porsche, and another driver in a 2014 Jeep collided at around 10:17 p.m. near the intersection of California Route 29 and Oakville Cross Road, near Pelosis estate.According to the original complaint, Pelosi told officers he began drinking at 7 p.m. and stopped an hour later, consuming only a glass of champagne and a glass of wine with dinner. The complaint alleged Pelosis “eyes appeared red/watery,” he was “unsteady on his feet,” and “his speech was slurred.”In the dashboard-camera video, an officer can be seen administering a field sobriety test.Pelosi was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital for treatment before being taken to jail, where a blood test confirmed a blood alcohol level of .082 percent.
