For the first time since 1998, Sir Elton John gave a performance at the White House, and after the show President Joe Biden honored him for his musical achievements. The seasoned performer dazzled more than 2,000 attendees with his show, which was organized to honor ordinary history makers like teachers, nurses, and LGBTQ activists. President Biden presented Sir Elton with the National Humanities Medal as the program came to a close. After a more than 50-year career, the singer is currently on a farewell tour at the age of 75.
